ALL DONE! Andy fish tank cake ready for the party....it only took me four hours to decorate it 

Day 5: I am taking a break from dresser. I have to prepare for Andy's birthday party tomorrow, to do list bake cake, decorate cake to look like a fish tank and put together goodie bags( yup and I am a making those too out of paper) 

Day 4: the priming is done, this took a lot of patience and most of my day(9am to 3pm). I ended up using valspar primer for glossy surfaces because the top of the dresser ended up being a laminate that unfortunately could not be remove. 

Day 3: finish sanding the dresser... Tomorrow the priming begins 

Day 2: I sanded both side of the dresser, it still needs a little more sanding but I got too tired to finish it today 

DIY project, re-finish an old dresser

I have always wanted to re-finish a piece of furniture. Now after months of being patient and waiting for a bargain on a used dresser(for my girl) I found this vintage wooden dresser for $30.  Day 1 consist of removing knobs, using a whole bottle of wood glue and wood filler. Tomorrow the fun begging so sanding this beautiful vintage dresser
